Top 5 MapleStory Private Servers List

MapleStory is a great MMORPG indeed. Playing in MapleStory private servers will maximize your fun and experience because it rids problems like excessively high number of online players that bore us out. Hackers are sitting on every corner of the official server in the game too. Sometimes, you feel the insecurity when playing MapleStory. Hackers are trying to snatch your years of hard work away from you, noobs are ruining your daily fun plans, and overpowered players kill the fun out of the game. Instead of getting frustrated, try the MapleStory private servers.

In the MapleStory private servers, you can find less player compared to official servers, but not too quiet. It is crowded enough to be fun. There are also status edits like increasing rates of drops, experiences, and mesos. Alternatively, private server can act as your therapy server from the dangerous and rough life of the official servers. I will make sure the list below contains best of the best private servers that give you the most secure service and protection also game edits and tweaks that will surely boost your fun meter and deplete your stress level:

Top 5 MapleStory Private Servers

MapleStory Private Servers

Intrinsic Networks Private Servers
Intrinsic Networks is currently hosting two private servers just for you. The two servers are ArcaneMS and CrypticSEA. I guarantee you that the servers are handled professionally that you won’t feel any difference between the official servers and Intrinsic Networks’ servers except for the fun that the server gives more.

The CrypticSEA server offers you MapleSEA game with improvements here and there. The rates are as written below:
  • Mesos  = 20X
  • Exp = 20X
  • Drop = 5X

Those rates will keep you occupied for sometimes and it is not too high to make your playthroughs end so quickly. The CrypticSEA server also includes different PvP system. There are also the Profession and Maker system. Intrinsic Networks work hard that the server it hosted also brings new custom quests not found in the official server. To know the basics, when you enter the CrypticSEA, use the @help. There are hundreds of player in this private server.

On the other hand, Intrinsic Networks ArcaneMS is one of the most popular and well-administered MapleStory private servers. There are nearly 1000 players online everyday. The rates are 12X exp, 12X mesos, and 3X drops. There is a minimum number of hackers and stricter admins that keep the game playable and un-exploited.

RydahReborn
This MapleStory private servers put its rates first as one of the attraction points. Rates:
  • Exp = 1000X
  • Mesos = 250X
  • Drops = 3X

The server is quite quiet, there are less than fifty people online in the game via the server now. Nevertheless, there are awesome features of this server:
  • Tetris system
  • New commands
  • Customized rare drops
  • Sparkling new strong bosses
  • All-in-one shop

ForestStory
This private server also has extreme rates. Exp rate at 1200X, Mesos rate at 600X, and drop rates at 10X! To level up to level 200, you won’t need two years of non-stop grinding, you can reach it in only about a day full of grinding.

ForestStory support is great, fast responses. There are also daily events and player ranking system. To keep this awesome private server, donation is required. However, donators get extra unique gifts as a way of showing gratitude. Usually, there is about a hundred players online in a time.

ForeverMS
ForeverMS does not have extraordinary rates, but it has exceptional exclusive features like:
  • Semi All-In-One shop
  • Custom items
  • FM Mobs
  • Daily and Seasonal Events
  • Unlimited Buff
  • Lag-free server

This MapleStory private server is not really popular though. There are less than 100 players in the server.

D.ChaosMS
The name is cool just like the official website. Exp and Meso Rate are more insane compared to other private servers. The drop rate is not very different though, which is at 5X. Exp rate at 2000X, Mesos rate at 1000X.

Quite popular, about hundreds of player online everyday. It is interesting because there are custom new bosses and quests.

So, which MapleStory private server do you want to play in?

RuneScape Barrows New Look!

The 2012 new year comes with the legendary MMORPG’s improvement, RuneScape Barrows graphical upgrade! RuneScape Barrows is a life-staking minigame located in southern Morytania, east of Mort’ton. It is a tomb filled with restless spirits and other defiled creatures. It was released around 7 years ago, on the 9th of May 2005. You have to complete the Priest in Peril quest prior to doing the RunsScape Barrows since the reward gives access to the RuneScape Barrows.

RuneScape Barrows

RuneScape Barrows

The RuneScape Barrows is full of treasures. You have the possibility to find the Barrows equipments here which are strong armors in the game. The armors are even worth a big fortune. They can be sold up to 3 millions! Well, no pain no gain, Nuff said. To get the treasures, you have to overcome many challenges and hardships. Actually, the primary objective in the RuneScape Barrows is to open the treasure chest located deep in the Crypts and defeat the 6 damned Barrows Brothers souls. They are strong warriors that have different stats and specialties, also different weakness.

If you are trying to attempt this mini-game, beware. Going inside all gun-blazing will get you slaughtered in no time. Getting killed means losing your items. Lara Croft will even think twice before entering this cursed tomb of the damned. To fight the evil entities that lie in the RuneScape Barrows, it is recommended to use Magic attacks, preferably Ancient Magics. The Brothers are susceptible to magic. However, if you are a melee fighter or a ranged-typed character, don’t worry. You can still attempt this minigame, but you will need higher stats and level to survive the RuneScape Barrows.

The minigame starts when you dig a grave if the brothers. A spade is essential to dig the graves. No need to bring a spade since there are spades beside each graves. Digging the grave will lead into a room with sarcophagus. Inside the sarcophagus, the brother lies. Opening it will awaken the spirit and start the fight. Be careful not to piss yourself since they are very strong. You will need lots of recovery items. It is highly recommended that you bring an equipment that increases the drop quality and rate.

In the last sarcophagus, there won’t be any corpse, but there is an underground crypt where the last Barrows brother and the treasure chest sits silently. The crypt is like a maze with faulty doors. Every time you open a door, monsters will spawn. Getting near the treasure chest will spawn the last brother and any Barrows Brother that you haven’t killed yet.

Before 2012, the minigame visual look is considered shabby. Actually, it is not so bad. But, after 7 years have passed with no different graphics, it gets boring. So, to relive the RuneScape Barrows, new graphics upgrade is released. No more boring grave, no more sleazy Barrows Brother, no more old-fashioned Barrows. The environment is more misty and creepy, the Barrows Brothers are sleek and dazzling. This improvement will surprise Lara Croft for sure! On the 4th of January 2012, it was released along with extra 10 percent chance of getting double drops and new Draconic visage drop. The extra bonuses won’t last forever, it will end on the 12th of January 2012. Come on, what are you waiting for? Be the next tomb raider in the “new” RuneScape Barrows!

MapleStory Familiar Hack Patchable?

Today we are going to discuss the MapleStory familiar hack. It is considered a hot topic now since it is still holiday and the game got a cheesy “hack” when Nexon staff are out of the office, having fun in their day off. This familiar hack happens just in the right time. Before I forget again, let me say HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012! I wish we achieve what we want to achieve this year and may all our wishes come true. God bless us. I know it is very late, but better late than never, huh? Never mind then, off to the point.

Familiar is a monster that can accompany and help us in the game. It is more like a pet. The pet-like familiar system was introduced in Rise of Fellowship update that was released in July 2011. You get familiars from cards, you can activate the card, allowing you to use the familiar in the card’s description. After activating it, you are prompted to register it in your Crusader Codex by naming it. Be careful when choosing the name because when you have clicked the “OK” button, nothing can be undone.

When still in the card form, the familiar can be traded and sold, but if the familiar is already activated in the Crusader Codex, it is yours and cannot be traded. You also cannot have a familiar forever. They have the lifespan of 30 days from the day you unleash them from the card. Familiars have their own status, skills, and vitality. However, the vitality does not decrease from enemy attacks, but from the familiar own attacks. Every time the familiar attacks, the vitality drops.

MapleStory Familiar Hack

MapleStory Familiar Hack

So, this MapleStory familiar hack thingy is a new thing. This hack and tweaks allow your familiar to single-hit kill every monster in the map. Yeah, that sounds very bad ass. Using the hack, you can level up like a hundred levels in just 2 hours. No wonder because killing skelegons in the whole map over and over for 2 hours will bring you huge experiences. I don’t know why, but most of the hackers and exploiters are Mercedes. Do you want to know how to do it? Google it man, you will find it, but not here.

About hacking things, I’m not against them and I’m not supporting them either, more like the “grey”. I don’t really care what they do as long as they are not disturbing me and my buddies. Actually, the MapleStory familiar hack effects the gaming community of MapleStory. At first, there was just a few hackers and they are not disturbing the community. Then, groups and groups of people keep coming, but they are still tolerable. But, when the kids, retards, trolls, and other vile filthy creatures use this hack, you can imagine the wreck they make. Now, honest players are so pissed off. When the responsible hackers just hunt higher level monsters that people rarely hunt, they don’t mind. Now, retards are filling all maps with MapleStory familiar hack, giving no chance for law-abiding players to hunt and grind. Most of the players are now supporting the hack and rather party with familiar hackers than with honest pitiful players. Up until now, Nexon has not released any patch or confirmation yet regarding this MapleStory familiar hack. Who knows whether it will be fixed or not?

I personally think that the hack or exploit is fixable, now we just leave the rest to Nexon. On the other hand, Nexon is like too lazy to release bugs or glitches or exploits fixes (no offense intended). The most rational way to prevent this hack to wreak the community any longer is to remove the familiar system because it doesn’t give significant advantages other than for the gateway to exploits. Anyhow, for now I think we should trust it to Nexon first. I hope that the MapleStory familiar hack will be resolved soon and maybe massive banwave will be awesome.

December 27 1.0.1 SWTOR Patch Notes

Just a few days ago, BioWare released an update patch for SWTOR. Lots of player are searching for SWTOR patch notes. The update patch is version 1.0.1 and it was released worldwide on the 27th of December 2011 after hours of maintenance, just two days after Christmas. The SWTOR patch notes released shortly after. It fixes high-priority bugs like combat bugs and Flashpoint bugs, it also fixes performance issues in Taris that most player are experiencing. There are also small update that maybe you won’t notice like items, missions, PvP, and companion fix. Well, check this SWTOR patch notes out.

Let us start from the major changes and fixes. SWTOR patch notes from BioWare include Slicing nerfing. Slicing seems to be a fast credits-making gathering skill with no risk at all. According to the SWTOR patch notes, this crew skill is just unbalanced, you pay an amount of credits to your companion and your companion will be back with rare items and more credits than what you invested. BioWare nerfed the reward earned from sending companions in a Slicing mission to balance it with other crew skills. BioWare is making a clear point about risk and reward. With high risk, you will get high reward instead of with no risk you will get very high risk. Even though it is nerfed, Slicing still brings profit, but not as much as before the patch. When the players look at this SWTOR patch notes, some will think that nerfing Slicing is a bad idea since Slicing is only made to earn credits. But others think that it is a tremendously good idea to balance the game’s economy, which is right according to the SWTOR patch notes.

In this SWTOR patch notes, the second major update is the bug fix in Taris. Taris is a planet of massive performance drop and crash. A lot of people experience crashes and framerate drop and input lags in Taris while on a quest even though they are using an over-the-recommended-spec PC and a decent internet connection. Since it is a big issue that mostly everyone are ranting about, BioWare fixes this problem. And now, Taris seems to be whole a lot better place than before.

The pending mission reward bug is fixed too. Now, you don’t have to worry when you have completed a quest, but haven’t taken the reward yet. Sometimes, the gathering nodes are available but cannot be harvested because of the stupid bug. SWTOR patch notes also include this bug in the fixed bug list.

The Flashpoints and Operations bugs fixes listed in the SWTOR patch notes are notable too. In Mandalorian Raiders flashpoint, the crowd control immunity from some of the Enemy Boarding Party has been removed. The unable-to-mount-turrets bug in Colicoid War Game has also been fixed. And don’t worry that you won’t be receiving the flashpoint rewards, BioWare has made sure that you will receive your credit for completing your daily flashpoint missions. The stuck-in-door bug is well-fixed and won’t disturb your Operation attempt in Karagga’s Palace. In Eternity Vault flashpoint, the sudden instant-death bug and the loot bug are all fixed.

There are a lot of updates and fixes according to the SWTOR patch notes. Below is the official SWTOR patch notes from swtor.com:

SWTOR Talent Calculator is Essential?

SWTOR talent calculator is a very useful tool. Well, generally, a talent calculator is used to plan a build. This is not a rare tool for games, especially for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game that requires you to be careful in choosing skills and classes as it impacts your style of play greatly. In Star Wars: The Old Republic, there is indeed a respect feature, meaning, you can take back all your skill points spent at skill tree to re-spend them at other skill tree for a price. Respec cost will scale up each time you respect, so, to avoid further credits spent in vain, SWTOR talent calculator comes in handy.

There are a lot of websites that offer SWTOR talent calculator to help you plan your character final build that fits your style of play well. The tool usually has an option to embed it to your website, making it a great tool. But, to maintain its quality, every talent calculator developer has to update their calculator every time a new update is released. Every talent calculator is different in style and shape, but has the same general purpose. This is 3 out of many sites that offer SWTOR talent calculator along with the quick overview:

SWTOR Talent Calculator

SWTOR Talent Calculator

Torhead
This is my favorite SWTOR talent calculator site. The design is stylish and simple and it is user-friendly. There is an option to reset skill points in a skill tree and even reset all. Tooltips are available for all skills, though the cooldown time is not included. To see the tooltips, just put the cursor over your chosen skill, and there you are. The link to share your build is always available in your browser’s address bar and always updated every time you spend a point on a skill to make it easier and simpler to share links. Your build can also be embedded to your site! The downside is that you cannot use the backward or forward feature of your browser because it breaks the calculator’s behavior.

R2-DB
R2-DB provides you with an exceptional talent calculator. This site’s calculator is similar to Torhead’s, but with different layouts. This one does not get behavior-break when the history traversal feature of a browser is used. The tooltip is underlined so that it will be easier and more comfortable to read. It has a big design. The downsides are, not all skill images are available and there are some uncompleted tooltip. R2-DB seems to have joined with Torhead.

Darth Hater DB
This is calculator has the same weakness as Torhead’s, history traversal with the backward or forward button will break its behavior. The URL will also be automatically updated in the address bar every time the user changes the skill point usage. It is also the only talent calculator with full tooltip information, including cooldown time. The layout is neat, mirror advanced classes are paired at the bottom of the page. But, there is a typo and wrong pairing. Like the Maruader which is supposed to be Marauder and the Jedi Sage/Sith Assassin pair that should have been Jedi Sage/Sith Sorcerer or Jedi Shadow/Sith Assassin. Embedding it to your website is possible.

Since SWTOR talent calculator is important, you got to choose the best site. Which one is your website of choice?

SWTOR Builds: Deceiver Sith Assassin

One of the most versatile classes that has the best SWTOR builds is the Sith Assassin, Sith Inquisitor’s advancement class. Assassin can be played as a tank, a stealth damage dealer, or unique SWTOR builds that combine melee and ranged attack. This article will tell you about the SWTOR builds of Deceiver Sith Assassin.

Deceiver Sith Assassin has the strongest damage dealer build among other mirror SWTOR builds. Stealth Sith Assassin focuses on the Deception skill set. Stealth Sith Assassin mainly utilize the skill Surging Charge to stealthly kill the opponent. It is a class made to serve the sole purpose of close-range battles because it does not have any good 30 meters ranged attack and no skill to quickly close the gap between players. In exchange, Deceiver Sith Assassin has the control in a battle and the strongest damage dealer among other Assassin-like specialization.

SWTOR Builds

SWTOR Builds

There is 6 SWTOR builds that are best for this style of play. They are Chain Shock and Armor Piercing for PvE and Variant, PvP Chain Shock, PvP Armor-Piercing, and High Regeneration Backstab Spam build.

PvE Chain Shock (2/31/8)
This build uses the Shock and Thrash ability along with Induction, Maul, and Chain Shock. Hence, the name, this build will deplete the opponent’s health with chain of Shocks continued with Thrash and extra damage by using the skill Maul.

PvE Armor-Piercing (5/33/3)
Armor-piercing build is a build designed for stealth single-target kills. But, the build is unbelievably good at Area damage for a single-target playstyle. Using this build means you will be a backstabber a lot. With the Exploit Weakness plus Maul in the stealth mode or blackout, you will cause a catastrophic damage to your target of assassination.

PvP Armor-Piercing (5/33/3)
Armor-piercing for PvP is not bad. It is similar to the PvE SWTOR builds. For the first attack, you can use Maul, Voltaic Slash, or Spike for opener. Maul will hit your target really hard and you can start attacking your target with chain attack. With Spike, you can stun your enemy and plan your attack carefully. Voltaic Slash is the alternative of Maul, it inflicts a rather good damage with lower cost. Just remember to slow your target every time the skill is available because your area of slaughter is only 10 meters, beyond that and your victim is out of your reach for good. Also, you are possible to be a team player with this build. Use Mind Control when the enemies are frantically attacking your mates. This ability will weaken the victim’s damage by 30% for 6 seconds unless the victim attacks you. To prevent that, disappear into thin air by using the Force Cloak and you can continue Mauling you targets.

PvP Chain Shock (0/33/8)
Very similar to the PvE build. It is better for PvE, still outpowered by Armor-Piercing.

PvP Variant (11/30/0)
The system is similar with armor-piercing, but it sacrifices bursts in trade for speed.

PvP High Regeneration Backstab Spam (18/23/0)
This build works just like the name. Spam Backstabs with this build to humiliate your enemy and yourself. You will get extremely powerful damage output. But, your force points will regenerate far slower than other SWTOR builds, making Backstab Spam a short-time monster.

That was the SWTOR builds for Deceiver Sith Assassin. But, you can experiment with your own SWTOR builds if you want to!

Romance with SWTOR Companions

SWTOR companions are available as a system that will help you in various conditions in the harsh world of MMORPG. They serve like minions that will do whatever you order them to do. SWTOR companions are the key in the crew skills system’s mechanic. You will be able to command them to do crafting, complete a mission, gather stockpiles and materials, and also help you in combat (only one companion is allowed to be taken out).

SWTOR companions aren’t give-and-take gifts from the developer. You will get a companion early in the game with no extra charge. But, to get other companions, you will have to put a good amount of efforts to look for them in the whole world since they are well-scattered. Like the rest of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series, there are moral choices, alignment, and affection. You can influence an evil companion into a lovely happy hippie or pervert your good, righteous SWTOR companions into a scary poker-faced villain that is capable of scaring children to death with pedo-smiles. So, your status and choices that you made will decide who will be your friendly SWTOR companions and who will be your greatest band of silly, hating SWTOR companions. You can also be friends with them. You can get one of them at a time to be your lover or simply your digital fantasy shagging partner (no gay relationship for now). It depends on what you do to them and how you treat them. You can give presents and talk about what they like to get positive affection points. For your info, you can see what the SWTOR companions like and dislike by going to the codex menu in the quest log and choose “Person of Note”. Further relationship with the SWTOR companions will get you unique rewards that cannot be obtained elsewhere. Other than that, you can also open new conversations and dialogs that can reveal the SWTOR companions dark secrets and past. Every companion has their storyline and secret quest if you can manage to make them tell you. Just what to expect from BioWare.

SWTOR Companions

SWTOR Companions

There are total of 42 companions, half for the Empire and the other half for the Republic. Each job gets 5 companions with various default alignment and one default droid companion. Every SWTOR companion has their unique skill and crew skills bonus. They also has their own class and equipment. For example, one of the Sith Warrior companion, Broonmark, is a melee tank character that will give you +2 Bioanalysis critical and +10 Scavenging efficiency.

Bored looking at your companion in a form of blue-colored alien chick called Vette? You can recolor your favorite blue-colored alien chick into a yellow-colored alien chick with a tattoo. But, extreme body modification is impossible. BioWare has prevented it so that you can’t ruin the gorgeous Jaesa Willsaam into a bad, ill-smelled, obese girl with a goatee. You are limited to only modify the appearance and customize the battle tactic of a companion, for a price. It will cost you 12,500 credits for a modification tool at the Smugglers Corso Rigg’s!

Feeling like you need some company? Be sure to play around with your SWTOR companions!

SWTOR: Respec Time!

Okay, we are back again in a Star Wars: The Old Republic article, this time I want to talk about respec. So, Star Wars: The Old Republic is a new Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game based on the movie Star Wars and a single player Role-Playing Game, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series. This time, the third installment of the series is developed by BioWare, that is responsible for spawning the revolutionary breed of Third-Person Shooter and Role-Playing Game, the Mass Effect series. This is the first time BioWare is developing an MMORPG.

Respec - SWTOR

Respec - SWTOR

Star Wars: The Old Republic offers fresh idea for MMORPG. Like the companion and crew skills system, and also, respec. So, what does respec means? Respec comes from the word respecialization. Respec is the ability to reset your skills back to zero so that you can “reshape” your character or undo the mistakes that you have made. It is a common system these days, seen to be used in World of Warcraft, Massive Action Game (M.A.G. PS3 exclusive FPS), and other games.

Maybe this is the situation that you are in. You chose to be a Sith Inquisitor and advanced your class to Sith Assassin. You thought that playing ninja style and decapitating republic dogs from behind is fun so, you leveled up the Deception skill tree. And you finally found out that sneaking is not as easy as chewing bacon sandwiches. You figured out that tanking is your real way of life, and here’s where the respec feature comes in. You can respec your character and level up the Darkness skill set instead. After a few hours, you feel like tanking is uncool unline assassin. And well, the awesome respec can come again. But, it doesn’t mean that you can change your class advancement. Choose your class advancement carefully.

Respec seems to be too good to be true. You can switch back and forth and try another sub-class or skills how many times you want. Well, the first time you respec your character, you needn’t to pay anything, not even a single credit. But the second time, you have to pay a small amount of credits, and it becomes more and more expensive each time you respec because the it is not something that you should do over and over again. The most expensive cost that I have ever seen is about 36 kilocredits. Whoa, that means the guy is a respec addict!

How to Respec Your Character in SWTOR?

So, how to respec your character? If you think that it is done just by opening the talent menu and clicking a respec button, you are wrong. There is no button called the respec button in the game. Instead, you got to find an NPC to respec your character. You can find the NPC in the same room with the class trainers in the Fleet Station. It is in the combat training area. And there is another one in Coruscant behind trade stands down below the Senate entrance.

Respec is proven to be very useful. You can use respec to change your specialization when you are going to slay monsters in PvE server or wreak havoc in PvP server. For example, you are a Sith Sorcerer. You have planned your character to be a damage dealer. So, you leveled up the Lightning skill tree. One day, a friend asked you to help him and his guild to raid a dungeon. But, the guild is already full of damage dealers and in need of a healer. In this kind of situation, you can shift to a healer by doing the respec thing and level up the Corruption skill set. Just don’t forget that respec is not freebies.

Deciding to respec your character now?

SWTOR Inquisitor: Elegant Sith Class

SWTOR Inquisitor is one of the eight default classes and one of two Sith Empire classes that utilize Force. SWTOR Inquisitor seems to be a light-armored class similar to the Republic’s Jedi Consular. Sith Inquisitor uses the power of the Force along with lightsaber techniques. Inquisitors are fast, swift, and rather strong. SWTOR Inquisitor proves to be one of the strongest jobs in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Inquisitor is the type that can play all kinds of role. Be it a powerful assault caster, a party healer, or a tanker in a massive raid. Inquisitors harness the dark side of the Force to either crush their enemies or support their allies. SWTOR Inquisitor is a genius in force channeling and manipulation, and also has outstanding swordmanship. Inquisitors study the philosophy and dark past of the Force. Force Lightning is their well-known feared weapon.

SWTOR Sith Inquisitor

SWTOR Sith Inquisitor

SWTOR Inquisitor has 5 companions, 4 of them are evil, and 1 of them has the good morality. They are Xalek, Khem Val, Talos Drellik, Ashara Zavros, and Andronikus Revel. Their starships are called “Fury”. There are 5 races available to choose: Human, Twi’lek, Sith Pureblood, Zabrak, and Rattataki.

Inquisitors use the double-bladed lightsaber with an unbelievable speed. Even though you are a bad guy here, you can rebel and be a hero instead. First, choose your style of play. You can be a frontline tanker with your extreme agility, making you a hard-to-hit decoy. A sneaky little venomous deadly snake with unrivaled stealth skill. If you want to be a supportive player, be a healer. And you can improve your Force to be a PvP Force-based Inquisitor.

There are 2 class advancements of SWTOR Inquisitor. They are Sith Assassin and Sith Sorcerer.

Sith Assassin focuses on the melee skill. Sith Assassins use double-edged lightsabers. They have super-fast speed and agility. There are 3 skill trees for Sith Assassin. Darkness, Madness, and Deception. Darkness skill tree is full of defensive abilities that will make you an excellent tanker. Madness offers Force ability to drain and corrupt enemies, but Madness is a shared skill. The last skill tree of Sith Assassin is Deception. Deception includes stealth skills to kill enemies without them even realizing. Force Lightning can be imbued into the double-edged lighsaber using the skill from Deception skill tree.

Sith Sorcerer is the last class advancement of SWTOR Inquisitor for now. Sorcerers harness the power of the dark Force to dispatch their foes without mercy. This class is Force-based. There are 3 skill trees, 1 of them is a shared skill, Madness. The other two are Lightning and Corruption. Lightning skill tree focuses on the Force Lightning. Choose it if you want to be an assault caster. You will get healing and support abilities if you improve the Corruption skill tree.

SWTOR Inquisitors are way too powerful that they are often hated by bullied players. So, overall, SWTOR Inquisitor is a deadly class, versatile, and handy in all kinds of condition. You love Darth Maul, you will surely love the Sith Inquisitor!

SWTOR Crafting – How to?

SWTOR crafting feature is exceptional. This kind of crafting system that involves NPC is rarely seen in other MMORPGs. SWTOR crafting allows players to craft various items like implants, guns, high-tech armors, lightsaber parts, and more. Crafting skill is included in the crew skills. Crafting is essential and important if you want to maximize your character’s potential.

First, I will introduce SWTOR crafting in general. Crafting can be done by either the player or NPCs called “companion”. Crafting is a special crew skill. Provided that you can only assign 1 crafting skill to the skill slot and leave the 2 other skill slots to other crew skills while you can use 3 gathering skills or mission skills at once. And if you change the crafting skill, it will be reset back to level 1 and you will lose all your hard-earned recipes.

SWTOR Crafting costs some time. While crafting low-level equipment only takes less than 10 minutes, high-level and sophisticated items will need more. That is where the NPCs come in. You can assign up to 5 companions to do crafting tasks. Each companion can only queue 5 crafting tasks. They will continue working when you are out doing some quest with your guild and even when you are offline. Your companions work tirelessly and will make sure that you sleep safe and sound when you are not in the game. Still, the companions don’t provide you 100 percent cashback guarantee. To prevent failures, you have to be good to your companions. It is recommended to give presents and talk whenever possible. Your companions will perform better SWTOR crafting with higher affection point.

SWTOR crafting is divided to 6. There are Armstech, Cybertech, Armormech, Biochem, Artifice, and Synthweaving. I’ll give you the quick short overview of each sub-profession. For non-Force user tanks, you should choose the Armormech since it mainly produces armors. Cybertech is a credits-making crafting skill. For any raiding guild member, you can get profit by selling potions and implants from the Biochem skill. Non-force users that choose to focus on crafting are best to choose Armstech since time is the essence to be able to construct good weapons. Force tanks is better to choose Synthweaving, the sub-profession is used to craft force armors. And aggresive non-tanks Force users are recommended to equip Artifice to make unique and special lightsaber parts.

Let’s get to the how to. First step....

SWTOR Crafting

 SWTOR Crafting

1. Craft-learning
Learning is the key to success. That is what my teachers used to lecture me. In SWTOR crafting, learning is essential. Choose the suitable crafting skill for you. You learn it in your capital home city, just take a stroll around the storage area, auction house, and skill trainers. Remember that only 1 crafting skill can be learned per time. But you are free to learn another crafting skills by forgetting the one you learn now. Forgetting means you will lose all recipes and level of that SWTOR crafting skill.

2. Craft!
Open the crew skills menu (‘n’ is the shortcut). Give a click-click on the craft icon beside your companion. Then, you can choose what will your companion craft. The maximum queue is 5.

Bam! You (and your companion) have successfully crafted an item! Be sure to keep crafting since there are still a lot to uncover on SWTOR crafting.

SWTOR Server Status Overpopulated?

How is SWTOR server status doing now? Players that got no time to play must be wondering when they will play and whether they will get a seat in one of the servers or not. Even before the official release date, which is today, most of the servers were already swarmed.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game developed by BioWare and based on the epic space opera, Star Wars. The game is the latest installment of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series. It takes place centuries after the events of SW:KotOR. Unlike the previous installment that was a singleplayer role-playing game, this one will surely satiate MMORPG lovers, especially the ones that played the previous games. To be able to play this game, players have to pay monthly subscription fees. A month subscription will cost you $14.99. While a 3 month subscription will cost you around $42 and even cheaper for the 6 month subscription, which is about $78. You won’t even believe that SWTOR has already attracted a lot of gamers attention. Try visiting the SWTOR server status page in the official website.

There are 4 types of server: PvE, PvP, RP-PvP, and RP-PvE. PvE stands for Player versus Enemy, meaning, no killing between players, only in some area and battleground. PvP = Player versus Player. Players can freely spar in this server. The RP in RP-PvP and RP-PvE is the same. RP is the abbreviation of role-playing, more like hardcore mode where everything is made as real as it can be. Statistics show that players love PvP more than any other server type. Now, does it also affect the SWTOR server status?

SWTOR Server Status

SWTOR Server Status

The SWTOR server status page in the official website of Star Wars: The Old Republic shows more than a hundred US servers and about 90 European servers. The SWTOR server status page shows extreme traffic in European servers. Most European servers are full and in heavy traffic, while US servers are not really that crowded. When you are trying to join a full server, you will be queued. The queues could take minutes or even hours. I saw my friend that queued in the Swiftsure server, a Player versus Player server, and he had to wait like nearly an hour. I am very sure that from day to day the amount of players will increase gradually. Is it gonna be a problem?

Nah, of course not! The players will surely increase, that’s not deniable. But, the players will be evenly distributed. Yesterday, there were only like 80 US servers and 60 European servers, but today, there are more. BioWare will open more day to day, so don’t worry.

And if you have a wordpress blog and you want to share the information about the server where you are currently playing at, you can keep track of the SWTOR server status and show it at your wordpress blog with the wordpress plugin. Even though the plugin is a first draft, it works well so far. The plugin will show the population, status, language, server type, and queue size.

Now, that SWTOR server status is not a problem anymore, you can buy the game without any doubt!

SWTOR Crew Skills: Unique!

SWTOR crew skills is a new system and the first time in the series. This system allows you to order your companions (friendly, hired NPC) to do things for you while you are out on a quest with your friends or even when you are offline. Companions can be ordered to do three kinds of things. You can command them to craft weapons and useful items, go gather resources, and complete solo missions on your behalf.

Since we can’t do everything alone, BioWare invented the SWTOR crew skills system to ease your pain in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Now, how does the SWTOR crew skills system works? First, the companions. You will need at least a companion (more likely a slave) to make use of the SWTOR crew skills system. Companions are scattered around the world. The first companion that you will meet is more likely to be the most helpful to your class. You can only “own” 5 companions at once. You can abuse their tirelessness to craft items in your ship, or take one out with you to help. Though you can only take one companion out, and leave the rest in the ship.

Before you are ready to boss your companions around, you have to understand the SWTOR crew skills system fully. There are 3 types of crew skills, which are Crafting, Mission, and Gathering. The assigned tasks are limited. Only 3 can be assigned to your whole crew. You can freely assign any crew skill you want, but only one crafting skill is allowed.

SWTOR Crew Skills

SWTOR Crew Skills

Gathering is one of SWTOR crew skills. You can give gathering errands to your companions. If they were successful, they would bring you rare items. Gathering can be done by the companions alone or rather with you. There are only 4 gathering skills, which are Scavenging, Slicing, Archaeology, and Bioanalysis.

Gathering - SWTOR Crew Skills

Gathering - SWTOR Crew Skills

Scavenging
Scavenging allows your companion to scavenge materials from damaged or rusty technology’s parts. Usually assigned alongside Armormech, Armstech, or Cybertech.

Slicing
Slicing means breaking through locked boxes and high-security computer systems to get datas, schematics, and blueprints. Rarely used.

Archaeology
Archaelogy is one of the SWTOR crew skills in the Gathering category. When you assign the Archaeology crew skill, your crews will get the ability to search for ancient artifacts. You can use this skill with Artifice or Synthweaving.

Bioanalysis
Bioanalysis means that your companion will get you genetic material samples from plants and animals. Best assigned with Biochem.

Other than Gathering, there are still SWTOR crew skills. Now it is about Mission. Mission consists of errands on getting loots, seeking information, and other things that will benefit you. This crew skill consists of 4 sub-professions:

Mission - SWTOR Crew Skills

Mission - SWTOR Crew Skills

Underworld Trading
It is all about illegal trades and transactions. Like trading in a black market. Recommended to be paired with either Armormech, Synthweaving, or Cybertech.

Diplomacy
Diplomacy means negotiation. It affects the moral side. Assigning Diplomacy with Biochem is a good idea.

Treasure Hunting
Treasure Hunting skill can get you rare crafting recipes. Usually taken with Artifice.

Investigation
Letting your companions to investigate will net you some sweet secret and information. Actually, it is effective to equip with any crafting skill, but it is better to assign with Armstech.

Crafting involves raw materials. Your companion can craft armors, implants, and weapons. The raw materials can be obtained by gathering it yourself or by assigning Gathering task to one or more of your companions. Crafting is not only about constructing things, but you can get materials too. Using the reverse engineering, you can destroy items and get the materials. But, you can only reverse-engineer items if you have known the recipe before. Crafting could take only a few minutes of your time, but it is also possible to take many hours. Crafting skills are six, they are armormech, armstech, artifice, biochem, cybertech, and synthweaving. The quick description for the crafting skills are below:

Crafting - SWTOR Crew Skills

Crafting - SWTOR Crew Skills

Armormech
This is the crafting skill to craft non-force armors and electrical shieldings. It is best assigned with Scavenging and Underworld Trading.

Armstech
Armstech skill allow the companions to craft weapons. Scavenging and Investigation are the recommended crew skills to take with Armstech.

Artifice
It is the crafting skill to make Jedi and Sith artifacts. Using this crew skill, you can produce lightsaber parts, modifications, and enhancement. Archaeology and Treasure Hunting are the best skills to assign along with Artifice.

Biochem
Biochem is the art of crafting bio-chemical items like serums, medical packs, and implants. They are mainly used to boost the user’s strength. Assign Bioanalysis and Diplomacy with this crew skill.

Cybertech
Companions assigned with Cybertech skill are capable of crafting gadgets also parts for droids and high-technology armors. Best taken with Scavenging and Underworld Trading.

Synthweaving
Synthweaving is crafting light armors with extraterrestrial elements. Armor that is crafted with the Synthweaving skill is suitable for Jedis and Siths. Archaelogy and Underworld Trading are the effective skills to accompany Synthweaving.

SWTOR crew skills system is a magnificent improvement, nuff said.

Guild Wars 2, No Subcription Fees Needed!

Guild Wars 2 is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) that is currently being developed by ArenaNET. Guild Wars 2 is the sequel to ArenaNET’s original Guild Wars that was released in 2005. The story takes place 250 years after the event of “Eye of the North” expansion pack, in a fantasy world called Tyria, where special guild dubbed “Destiny’s Edge” that is in the process of emergence. “Destiny’s Edge” is a guild that only fight and slay a tyrant species, Elder Dragons, that have successfully controlled Tyria since the age of the previous installment, Guild Wars. Like its predecessor, Guild Wars, subscription fees are absolutely not necessary. The game will be released in 2012. What is new in Guild Wars 2? Check this out!

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2

ArenaNET uses the extremely modified version of Guild Wars engine. Havok physics system is used to better support the game physics. The animations and graphics are also enhanced, real-time 3D environment will also be available in the game. Guild Wars 2 will have a quite unique storyline system that is rarely used in MMORPGs but commonly seen in singleplayer RPGs. The quest system is innovational for MMORPGs. This game will provide cutscenes, an uncommon thing to see in MMORPGs. The battle will be more dynamic. Players can use environment as weapons. Like rocks, branches, and other things. The level cap is also higher, which is 80, while Guild Wars is only 20. Guild Wars players, don’t be sad! Although your character cannot be transferred to Guild Wars 2, you will get exclusive items, titles, animal companions, and mini-pets depending on your character’s achievements.

Guild Wars 2 has an exceptional party system. When killing a monster, everybody that participated in the battle will get experiences and items from the monster. So, it is not restricted to party members only. That was the PvE system. The game also provide colossal PvP battle that will take place in a world, where everybody can join and leave the world every time they want to.

As usual, it has the job and race system. Guild Wars 2 will let you choose from 5 races and 8 jobs. The races are humans and charr like the ones in the original Guild Wars, asura and norn that was first revealed in Eye of the North expansion pack, and the new race called the sylvari. Every race has their own unique skills. The jobs are divided into 3 categories, 2 heavy-armored jobs in “soldiers” category, 3 medium-armored jobs in “adventurers” category, and 3 light-armored jobs in “scholars” category. They are:

Guild Wars 2 Jobs

Elementalist
Scholar-typed job that uses magics.

Necromancer
Scholar as well. Instead of magics, Necromancers use manipulation of death.

Mesmer
Hypnotic scholar that masters trickery and mind manipulation.

Ranger
Medium-armored job. Uses bows and fast melee weapons. Rangers can have animal companions that can be equipped with skills.

Thief
Adventurer job. Thiefs can use melee and ranged weapons including pistols. Specialize in traps and theft.

Engineer
Another adventurer job. Engineers can use all types of guns, be it pistols or rifles. They also can places turrets, mines, and other gadgets.

Warrior
Heavy-armored job. Warriors can use both melee and ranged weapons that focus on direct damage. They can buff allies. Adrenaline enables them to execute special ability when the meter is full.

Guardian
Soldier job. They have good passive abilities. They provide defense buffs and skills to aid allies.

It is a shame that there is no job advancement. But it is not a big deal. Guild Wars 2 will still kick ass!

Latest Star Wars MMO : The Old Republic

Star Wars is not only an epic opera, but it is also a game. Recently, Star Wars MMO game is really popular. Actually, there are a lot of Star Wars game, starting from the infamous funky adventure game, Lego Star Wars, to the complex W-RPG, Knights of the Old Republic that is aimed to mature gamers. And in 2003, the first Star Wars MMO debuted. The title is Star Wars Galaxies that was developed by EA Japan and Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) North America. The Star Wars MMO takes place in a time between Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back. Finally, the game ended the day before yesterday. LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment agree to close the server and made the ending.

SWTOR - Star Wars MMO

Star Wars: The Old Republic - Star Wars MMO

Three years before the server shut-down, a new Star Wars MMO was announced. It is called Star Wars: The Old Republic. Seeing that BioWare develops this game, I think it would be awesome. The Windows version of the Star Wars MMO is dated to release on the 20th of December 2011 in North America and the 22th of December 2011 in Europe that is just a few more days! I also heard that it costs around $135 million to develop this game, that’s the largest production cost of a video game in the history! Will the sales cover the production cost? I think so!

This Star Wars MMO is the next installment of Star Wars: Knights of Old Republic (often abbreviated as KotOR) series. Since Knights of the Old Republic series are W-RPGs and The Old Republic is Star Wars MMO, it would be interesting. The Old Republic takes place 300 years after Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic event. There was a massive war between Sith and Jedi where the Jedi end up being the lightstick-wielding loser. They relocate from Coruscant to Tython to found a new Jedi Order while the Sith built a Sith Academy in Korriban. The story starts 10 years after that event when something goes wrong. Obi-Wan is still a dream at this time.

Star Wars: The Old Republic offers players with two factions to choose and a variety of jobs. The factions are the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. The Galactic Republic consists of good men that protect the peace in the galaxies by battling the Sith Empire. And Sith Empire consists of bad guys that are destined to conquer the world. Bam! Cliche!

The currently officially announced jobs are Smuggler, Trooper, Jedi Knight, and Jedi Consular for the Republic. Bounty Hunter, Imperial Agent, Sith Warrior, and Sith Inquisitor are the jobs of the Empire people. They all each has 2 branches of job advancement you can choose. For example, you can choose between Juggernaut and Marauder for Sith Warrior’s job advancement or Gunslinger and Scoundrel for Smuggler’s job advancement. Playing as the Empire soldier doesn’t mean that you have to be a kind-hearted lightstick man. BioWare gives players choices of moral that will affect NPCs. And you can be a hippie Sith that loves to shout “Make Love not War”

What about that? Are you sold yet? Me? Yeah I’m very sold out that I’m very anxious to get my hands on this Star Wars MMO!

RuneScape: Polypore Staff is Deadly as Beast!!

You must have known RuneScape right? If yes, you must have heard about the mighty Polypore Staff! If not, then let me give you a short explanation. RuneScape is the world’s most popular free Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) according to Guinness World Records. This game allows player to freely customize their character. Different from other MMORPG, RuneScape doesn’t use the “job” system, but it uses the skills you choose to level up as the base of your character’s fighting style. So, you are not limited to one style of battle, you can combine all of the aspects of battle to your character. So you can make like, an Archer with deadly magic or a magician with melee capabilities that will make you chill to the bone!

Nevertheless, back to topic. If you choose magic as your character’s main style, then you might as well love this weapon, Polypore Staff. It was released on the 28th of November 2011 in an update along with the Polypore Dungeon. Do you know why it is a badass weapon? Because it inflicts 672 damages on a Slayer task in Kuradal’s Dungeon! Then, Polypore Staff is the highest-hitting magic-based weapon in the game! (not mentioning special attacks of course). And Polypore Staff also has the third highest prayer bonus of staff in the game, which is at +5. It is very flexible as every spellbook can be used with this staff in a low price, and it makes the staff an ass-kicking equipment for mages.

Polypore Staff

Polypore Staff

So can we get Polypore Staff easily? No, of course not! Three thousands polypore spores are needed to construct this magical staff. Those 3000 polypore spores then must be grew on a polypore stick and we need 15000 fire runes to imbue it with power. Because of that, you will need to be at level 80 on Farming to make it possible. It also requires 80 magic levels to wield it (80 melee levels was also required, but since it was impossible to melee with this weapon, it was removed along with melee attack bonuses after an update on December 6th, 2011). Not so easy, yeah?

You can get polypore spores from slayer tasks, and as I said earlier, it only can be used to recharge the staff at Farming level of 80 and it makes it free or costs very little to use it to train mage on slayers. At the game’s Grand Exchange currency, one charge of Polypore Staff costs 347 coins. But if you are too lazy to look for the polypore spores and can’t (or won’t) afford 327 Grand Exchange coins to charge the Polypore Staff, then the best way is to buy polypore spores with Grand Exchange coins (No freebies guys :B). But it costs much cheaper than directly charging it, which is around 150 coins.

Other factor that makes Polypore Staff a weapon of mass destruction (so much for being hyperbolic freak lol), is that, despite being a magic weapon, it can be used as a ranged style or melee style weapon when battling either of the Dagannoth Mothers, so the attack is considered melee.

Hey mages of RuneScape!! Now you know how badass the Polypore Staff is! You should try getting your (character’s) hands on it!

WoW Cataclysm Review

Do you want to know WoW Cataclysm review from real gamers? But before you read their review about WoW Cataclysm, you can read short story of WoW Cataclysm that I taken from Amazon:

An ancient evil lies dormant within Deepholm, the domain of earth in the Elemental Plane. Hidden away in a secluded sanctuary, the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing has waited, recovering from the wounds of his last battle against Azeroth and biding his time until he can reforge the world in molten fire. Soon, Deathwing the Destroyer will return to Azeroth, and his eruption from Deepholm will sunder the world, leaving a festering wound across the continents. As the Horde and Alliance race to the epicenter of the cataclysm, the kingdoms of Azeroth will witness seismic shifts in power, the kindling of a war of the elements, and the emergence of unlikely heroes who will rise up to protect their scarred and broken world from utter devastation.

WoW Cataclysm Review

WoW Cataclysm Review

Review by Dips

Edit: Before reading this review, please be aware that this is coming from the perspective of someone who started playing before they were a teenager. This review won't be necessarily as mature and thought-out as others, but may be an interesting perspective nonetheless.

I think almost all veteran players consider the glory days of WoW to be long gone. In fact, some may argue that the final glory days occurred during the Burning Crusade or even Vanilla. I guess I am no veteran, but despite this, us persistent players have witnessed moments of greatness throughout Classic, Burning Crusade, and Wrath that truly made the game worth playing. I leave Cataclysm out of that list intentionally, because I feel that this most recent expansion marks the end of such glorious moments, which have characterized the World of Warcraft for years. I feel that this expansion could mark the end of WoW completely.

I guess I should give some background about myself before I attempt to support such a grandiose assumption. I began playing the game a few months after release in Classic with friends. I was something like 9 at the time, and my first character was a Paladin. Many of my friends lost interest in the game after weeks and months, or their parents refused to renew their subscriptions, fearing that the game was too addicting. Thus began my pattern of playing for a few months, getting bored and stopping for a few months and then repeating the cycle. I never even hit the level cap in Classic because back then leveling took a discipline that most 9 year olds (including me at the time) didn't possess.
Enticed by trailers and beta videos of the Burning Crusade, I returned once again to experience Outland, this time playing an Elemental Shaman. For the first time, I hit the level cap and began raiding. But yet again, I never accumulated much gear or money.
It wasn't until Wrath of the Lich King that I finally learned to play the game competitively. As a Rogue, I progressed through the new Naxx, Ulduar, and ToC before leaving again just before ICC due to being sent away boarding school which I ended up hating and leaving after a year.

Now in the middle of High School, I've made an effort to return again - but so far this effort has been in Vain. I have a complaint in just about every aspect of the new expansion, so I'll go over the major ones.

New UI:

Logging back in on my Rogue in Cata, I could barely recognize the UI. A Dungeon Journal, A Guild Tab, A Dungeon Finder (I never really got used to it during Wrath), a completely re-done talent system, profession page, mount page, and companion page to name a few changes. The Dungeon Journal makes me really upset, because it eliminates basically any remaining challenge in Raids and Heroics. No matter how much research you did on old fights during BC and Wrath, there was always an element of anticipation and surprise going into a new fight. I got so used to watching Tankspot guides and strategies that I began to enjoy the research aspect. Unless you are literally at the highest tier of raiding these days, such research isn't necessary. Now you can see what the boss will look like, all of his/her abilities, whether or not you have to avoid them to stay alive, long before you actually step foot into the instance. Although it's hard to get used to, I was for the most part able to shrug this off. Once again, Blizzard continues to simplify the new UI making the game easier, what else is new?

Achievements:

Next I noticed that achievements like Glory of the Ulduar Raider and titles such as Kingslayer and The Astral Walker are still available. After all of the wipes I endured on my quest for even a Rusted Proto-Drake during Wrath, this frustrated me. I remember when seeing someone on an Ironbound Drake with the Astral Walker or Herald of the Titans meant they had skill. Now I got both of those achievements the other night in a pug of 18 level 85's in PvP and heroic gear, many of whom were prone to Ninja DC'ing. It made me truly upset to think about watching Vodka vs. Alone in the Darkness and Ensidia vs. Firefighter and all the epicness about those two bosses, as we one-shotted every hardmode with ease.

"New" Cities:

One aspect of Cataclysm, which others seem to love, is the re-vamping of Orgrimmar and Stormwind and their re-establishment as the capital cities. I personally hate Blizzard's choice to do this. There was something epic about being in a new world and a new city. It brings back great memories to think about walking through the dark portal for the first time and looking at the sky in Hellfire Peninsula. Being in Shattrath and Dalaran was great, and what made them even better were the portals that allowed one to head back to any city they wanted. I loved being around both Horde and Alliance in Dalaran, fishing in the fountain and doing dailies before returning to Ironforge to sit on the bridge. Now with Cataclysm, I'm stuck in a horribly over-crowded Orgrimmar (I faction changed during Wrath), in the same continents that I've visited for years. I honestly feel like the changes Blizzard made in Org and SW were just enough to crush any nostalgic feelings us old players had but not enough to simulate the feeling of a new expansion.

New Zones:

Some of the new 80-85 zones are cool, such as Uldum and Deepholm, but the questing has become so linear and easy that I got from 80 to 85 in about 4 days of casual playing. Traveling around doing Archaeology, I hardly notice the changes in the old world (besides a couple of zones, like the Barrens and Thousand Needles). I guess if you're leveling you may notice them, but all I can ask about the Cataclysm in general is who cares? For a level capped player who has no interest in leveling again, what does The Barrens being split into two zones have anything to do with me? Archaeology has done a decent job in getting me back out into the zones of Azeroth, but after all these years and considering I have every classic raid and dungeon achieve, it's starting to get old. Going back to the whole city idea; rather than leaving Shattrath or Dalaran and entering a colorful wilderness with strange-looking high level mobs, I leave Orgrimmar and see level 8 boars, which I've probably killed 10,000 times or more during my WoW career.

Mounts:

I had high hopes in this area but once again I was disappointed for the most part. There are a few cool ones, such as the Horde Scorpion, the Vitreous Stone Drake, and the Fossilized Raptor, but besides those I'm not very impressed. Besides the Vitreous one, the Stone Drakes don't even compare to Netherwing Drakes, Nether Rays, and Proto-Drakes. Camels are, let's face it, kind of boring and all the really rare and expensive mounts come from TCG and cost between 100,000 and 750,000 gold on my server, not to mention the Winged Guardian, which is purchased on Blizzard's store for real money. They even added a new Ahn'Qiraj battle tank as an Archaeology reward; now the true Scarab Lords with the Black battle tanks are hard to spot. I have the Vial of the Sands drake (which I'll get into later) but I still find myself riding around on either my Nether drake or one of my Protos (all of which, of course, you can still get) just because I think they look so much better.

Auction House/Money:

I'm not going to criticize this too much because I realize economies change and inflation must occur. But I'm still a bit bothered by the fact that, in Wrath it took me over a month to save up for a motorcycle, and now in Cataclysm it took me about a week to save up 35,000 for Vial of the Sands. Rather than working hard on the Auction House and having hundreds of auctions up at a time, making small, hard-earned profits from each, I go to sleep each night with one sword or dagger up for about 15,000 (the mats for which cost me 3000 tops and required no farming). At one point I friended a lot of my competitors on the AH to see who I'm dealing with. I was surprised to notice that many of them are level 1 Rogues with randomized names who I'm almost certain are Chinese farmers. Some of these level 1's play all day and night, don't answer any tells, and undercut you almost instantly.

Content:

I honestly haven't bothered with that much content so far in Cataclysm. The heroics are often too long and provide horrible loot. I have no idea why they eliminated the epic from the final boss that existed in BC and Wrath. I got all I needed from ZG/ZA in about a week, considering you can do them both many times a day, and now I'm hovering around a 360 item level - too low to be invited to successful BoTs and ToT4W without an achievement (even though I know all the fights without any research thanks to the dungeon journal) and too high to really benefit from heroics. Like another reviewer said, there were more bosses in Naxx (Wrath) then there have been thus far in Cataclysm - that's just pathetic.

One would think that with WoW progressing over the years the game would become more complex and difficult to master, on the contrary, Blizzard has made every effort to simplify the experience and make it more beginner-friendly. As a result of Blizzard's efforts, WoW has reached a sort of paradox. New players are great and always have been (call me a nerd but it will always be fun to find a brand new player at level 1 and show them the ropes) but Blizzard's development team has at this point utterly failed at balancing user-friendliness and challenge. Some people speculate that Activision is intentionally dooming WoW to make way for some future game, but I just can't imagine they would do such a thing. They've just failed on so many levels that I'm afraid the game is nearly beyond repair. Many reviewers are thankful that Cataclysm has severed their addictions to WoW, I'm the complete opposite. I only have a few years left to thoroughly enjoy video games before I head off to college. I've grown up with World of Warcraft, and as hard as it may be to believe, it's taught me a lot about people. I pray that Blizzard may get the message that so many of it's devoted customers are sending, but I guess only time will tell.

I know this has been a bit lengthy, but thanks for listening to my thoughts.

Review by P. Dui

I was addicted to WoW. I spent over a thousand hours neglecting my real life to play in the World of Warcraft. It was a fun time, even though detrimental to my real life. I had to quit cold turkey, because of the amount of energy it would suck from my normal life even though it was a lot of fun.

When Cataclysm came out, I was able to resist the temptation for a few months, but relapsed into WoW. I played through the Goblin Starting Zone, and the rest of the game was just BORING. It lost the spark. It was no longer an addicting cigarette, but just the butt. I am finally able to shake my WoW addiction and move on with my life. For that, I am grateful.

Cataclysm is just an old rehash of content, game engine, grinding, and elitism. It really was like another job and I finally got bored of the grind. The grind can be fun the first time around, but eventually it becomes a grind. Thank you Cata for helping me close this sad chapter in my life.

For every beginning, there is an end. Cata marks the end of the height of WoW and it's inevitable slow ending.

Review by W. R. Jones

World of Warcraft Cataclysm expansion took many of the things that annoyed players from previous releases then made them the basis for content. Whoever thought of taking all the things the average player failed at in a raid instance and making them even more numerous and deadly should be selling phone plans at the mall, not designing games.

I pity raid leaders now, the amount of yelling not to stand in stuff must be insane.

A few other things to consider:
The reputation grinds are epic, the heroics are tedious and unforgiving, the raiding requires you grind the previous two, PVP has been ruined for many classes... time honored skills removed or rendered useless, new battlegrounds are a poorly implemented rehash of older versions, "new" dungeon content is "old" content rehashed, and finally... grinding achievements are like crack, it consumes your life and returns nothing, much like this whole game.

Suggestions: Check out "Free to Play" (F2P) games for MMO's like... Forsaken World, Spiral Knights, Runes of Magic, Lord of the Ring Online.
For a pay to play game I'd give "Rift" a try, it's good for about 3 months of very cool questing, rift hunting and dungeon crawling, but unless there's a huge questing/dungeon expansion, 3 months is it.

Cabal Online Classes

There are 6 Cabal Online classes: Warrior, Blader, Wizard, Force Blader, Force Shielder and Force Archer. After you created a character in Cabal Online, you must choose 1 character class from 6 Cabal Online classes. Each character class have different skill libraries, arsenal, strategies and even starting locations. If you want to know more about Cabal Online classes, you can read the detail below.

Cabal Online Classes

Warrior Cabal Online

Warrior
The Warrior class is the typical melee sword-user. They use Force to brutally enhance their physical abilities. They possess the highest innate vitality or health value and their offensive skills are slow and powerful. Their equipment set is by default the highly-defensive Armour Set, metallic armours made of various materials and two-handed swords, either Great Swords or Daikatana. They possess many strengthening buff skills that can even further enhance their capabilities, including party-targeted buffs. Their primary attribute is Strength which enhances their physical attack value and their resistance.

Blader Cabal Online

Blader
The Blader class is a fast sword-user melee class known for its enhanced dodging and accuracy, as well as the speed of its skills. They use Force to enhance both their dexterity and strength, giving them more flexibility than a Warrior. Unlike warriors, however, they possess only two party-enhancing strengthening skills; as such relying more often on their individual strengths even when in a party, namely their damage output and critical hit rate. Their equipment includes by default the Martial Set, a lightweight kimono-styled cloth which favours Defense Rate, or evasion, as well as a Blade and a Katana, or two swords of only one type if the player is so inclined.

Cabal Online Classes - Wizard

Wizard
The third class is the Wizard and it is the basic magic-user. They use Force to amplify the power of the elements around them akin to what a Warrior does to its own strength. Their primary attribute is Intelligence which raises their magical attack power. They possess several buff skills that can affect not only themselves but any other friendly targets they choose, as well as many party buffs. Some of these skills are well known, namely the most basic ones which increase Health or Defense and are usually performed on newcomers to aid them in their initial progress. Their skills have a powerful damage output; however, they have one particular difference from melee classes, which is their area of effect, or AoE. While melee classes deal high damage to lesser enemies with the same skill, Wizards disperse their damage through the highest area possible for all classes. Combined with the paralysing capability of all of their strongest skills, Wizards are crucial for controlling masses of enemies. Their main disadvantage is their lower Defense; still, this can be tactically overcome by making use of the stun effect of their advanced magic. Their equipment set is by default the Martial Set and dual Orbs, single-handed globe-shaped controllers which spawn staves in recent versions of the game.

Force Archer Cabal Online

Force Archer
Force Archers are a variation of Wizards who prefer to manipulate rather than amplify Force. Because of this, their skills have a lesser area of effect in comparison to the Wizard's skills but, in contrast, their damage is more precise, more accurate and with a higher critical hit rate. They visualize and create a weapon in a way similar to the Force Shielder, which is the Astral Bow; this weapon enhances their accuracy and critical rate. They also possess the highest attack range of all classes, even higher than that of a Wizard. Unique to this class, they possess supportive magic such as powerful single-target and party Healing skills, as well as many useful buffs, especially some used on new players alongside the Wizard's. Their skills have the fastest casting time of all, giving them a high damage per second value. Force Archers value Intelligence and Dexterity, both for magical power and dodging, as well as the balanced Battle Set and dual Crystals.

Force Blader Cabal Online

Force Shielder
Force Shielders are one of the two classes who have learned to materialize Force into a real weapon. By studying magic, they have gained the ability to visualize and create an Astral Shield, a relic which provides them with greater Defense. This class is the basic tank class which possesses the highest Defense of all classes and, when combined with its powerful damage-absorbing party skill, can effectively guard other party members from a high amount of damage. Force Shielders also possess a basic Healing skill, unlike all other classes save for the Force Archer. Their latter skills are also the most critical damaging techniques of all classes, making them both a good defender and attacker. Like the Force Blader, they are a hybrid Sword-Magic class. However, unlike the Force Blader who ultimately will have to develop both spheres to be able to use curses, the Force Shielder can truly specialize in only one area of expertise. A Sword Force Shielder will focus on the physical Sword skills and value brawling and critical damaging. In this case, they would value Strength and Dexterity for physical power and resistance. A Magic Force Shielder will focus on Magic skills, namely cannon-type targeted spells which value damage per second instead of high instant damage. They will rely on Dexterity and Intelligence for strength, resistance and dodge. The class can also be hybridized to fully utilise its complete potential, commonly making use of paralysing Magic skills when fighting against the environment. Their arsenal is by default the Armour Set, a Blade and a Crystal, counterpart to the Orb, though it can depend on the type of specialization taken if the player so chooses.

Force Shielder Cabal Online

Force Blader
The Force Blader class is themed as a magic swordsman. They use Force to empower their blade arts and have developed unique debuff skills that no other class possesses. Although they can use targeted cannon-type magic skills to fight, their sword skills are the strongest, their magic affinity being demonstrated only in their Force-imbued Sword skills. Their most powerful attacks are also enchanted with curses, causing negative handicapping effects on their targets alongside damage itself. Because they evenly nurture all three of the main attributes, they are both the most flexible and most time-consuming class to develop. Their equipment is by default the balanced Battle Set, a protective suit made of many different kinds of fibers, a Katana and an Orb. Their complexity in the use of curse skills makes them a class best for advanced players.
